Advantages and application scope of servo motors

Servo motor is a very critical equipment in the motor industry. Its emergence has facilitated many industries and improved the work efficiency of many projects. Servo motors have many functions, which I introduced in detail last time. So what are the advantages and application scope of servo motors? Next, the editor will introduce it in detail for those who are not sure!

main effect:

The servo motor is used in a closed loop, which means that it will transmit signals to the system at any time, and at the same time use the signals given by the system to correct its own operations. This motor can also be controlled by a microcontroller.

The advantages are as follows:

Mainly, let's take a look at the unique advantages of servo motors compared with other motors (such as stepper motors):

1. Accuracy: It achieves closed-loop control of position, speed and torque; at the same time, it also overcomes the problem of stepper motor out-of-step.

2. Speed: Good high-speed performance, generally the additional speed can reach 2000~3000 rpm.

3. Adaptability: It has strong overload resistance and can withstand loads three times the additional torque. It is especially suitable for situations where there are instantaneous load fluctuations and fast starting is required.

4. Stable: The low-speed operation is smooth, and there will be no stepping operation phenomenon similar to that of a stepper motor during low-speed operation. It is also suitable for occasions with high-speed response requirements.

5. Timeliness: The dynamic response time of motor acceleration and deceleration is short, generally within tens of milliseconds.

6. Comfort: Heat and noise are significantly reduced.

To put it simply: after the power is cut off, the ordinary motor that we usually see will continue to rotate for a moment due to its own inertia, and then stop. Servo motors and stepper motors stop when they stop and move when they want, and their response is ly fast. However, stepper motors suffer from out-of-step.

There are too many application fields of servo motors. As long as there is a power source and accuracy requirements are generally involved, this motor may be involved. For example: machine tools, printing equipment, packaging equipment, textile equipment, laser processing equipment, robots, automated production lines and other equipment that have relatively high requirements for process accuracy, processing efficiency and operation reliability.

The application scope is as follows:

DC servo motors can be used in spark machines, manipulators, and other machines. It can also be equipped with 2500P/R high-resolution standard encoder and speed sensor, and can also be equipped with a reduction gearbox to bring reliable accuracy and high torque to the mechanical equipment. This motor has speed regulation, and its output power per unit weight and volume is far greater than that of an AC motor, and far greater than that of a stepper motor. The key is that the moment fluctuation of the multi-stage structure is small.
